A Personal Note from Jeanette...
Ladies,
I’m Jeanette Hounshell. In 2006 I was a Carb-loving couch potato with an extra 30 lbs on my body. I spent my days munching on cereal, pizza, Mexican food, and ice cream. I did a lot of complaining about my weight but I never did anything about it (sound like anyone you know?) I had intentions to get up each morning and workout so I set my alarm for 5:00 a.m., that alarm went off for a year and for a year I hit snooze. Finally I had a realization that if I wanted to make a change I needed to make a commitment. I started taking my fitness seriously and stopped hitting the snooze button and within 8 months I had lost 30 lbs.
That was the start of it all!
Since then I have accomplished more than I ever thought I could. I have run several half marathons, a full marathon, I have recently started triathlons, and I am signed up for at least 2 more marathons in the next year. My goal: always have something to train for because that's what motivates me.
My point with this story is to let you know that I have been there. I haven't always been athletic; I haven't always been the weight that I am now. I know how it feels to want to make a change. I know how it feels to start something and then not finish it (this wasn't my first attempt to get fit). I have a certificate in Personal Training and Sports Nutrition from SCW fitness and I became a trainer because I've learned SO much since my couch potato days. I want to share that knowledge with you so that you can reach your fitness goals.
